October 2022 saw the continuation of our ‘Equestrian Club’ in Fivemiletown College. Pupils in all years are encouraged to take part in the events competing against local school teams.
Our first competition this year was Omagh High School’s Diamond Jubilee Show which took place on Thursday 13th October in Fintona at the Ecclesville Equestrian Centre. We were delighted to come 1st in the ‘Tack and Turnout’ in the Secondary School competition. Grace Campbell also came 1st in the Novice Competition and we where place 3rd in the ‘Ride and Run’ Competition.
The team included Grace Campbell, Molly Kenwell, Nakita Thompson, Ava Stubbs, Chloe Emerson, Elizabeth Millar, Abigail Bateman-Smith and Ellie Watson. This was a great start to the club and much enjoyed by all who attended.
Well, done to all those who took part and thank you to their parents for their commitment and cooperation. We hope to go to a few more competitions further on in the year and welcome all new participants.
